Raymond Wan, owner of Alternative Care Solution Wellness Center has a mission to provide affordable alternative treatments that will help people reduce pain and stress without drugs. With his education and background as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist and Holistic Health Counselor he provides several services at the Wellness Center.
Acudetox (NADA five points ear acupuncture) is a special treatment that is commonly used to help quit addiction to drugs, alcohol and smoking. “Besides using ear acupuncture to treat addiction, regular monthly ear acupuncture sessions can help detox your body and improve overall health,” says Wan. He adds that it can also be beneficial for weight loss and behavioral health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADD and ADHD.
To keep services affordable, Wan offers a lower price for follow-up sessions for Acudetox and an even lower follow-up price for seniors (60+).
TuiNa is a form of Traditional Chinese Massage that focuses on meridians and acupoints. In traditional Chinese Medicine it is believed that when the flow of Qi is disturbed in the body it can result in pain, stiffness, sickness or even emotional pain. TuiNa techniques can help improve and balance the flow of Qi. Scientifically, TuiNa can help exercise and stretch weak, tight and/or atrophied muscles. It helps reduce muscle tension by improving circulation, promoting tissue regeneration and enhances immunity by stimulating the lymph flow. During the treatment, the right pressure promotes the release of endorphins (the body’s natural painkiller), which can help reduce spasms and pain.
